Day 1
Day 1

We will meet you at Christchurch Airport on Day 1 and transfer you to our Christchurch accommodation facility. If you arrive before the tour day, we can arrange pickup and accommodation accordingly. The tour starts with an afternoon half-day Christchurch city tour followed by dinner at the accommodation hotel. Have a good night. There are many exciting things to watch on day 2.

Day 2
Day 2

Have your breakfast at the hotel and get ready to travel through the Banks Peninsula to Akaroa. Our first destination is Ohinetahi Gardens at Governors Bay. You can have morning tea from here. From there you will continue the journey to Akaroa which is surrounded by natural wonders and wilderness. You will get enough time to explore this historical french settlement before lunch at Bully Hayes Restaurant. Afternoon, you will visit Giant's house, an amazing artwork/sculpture display by Josie Martin. The whole place is adorned in mosaic statues the pavement, the steps. Before the day ends, you will get enough time to explore this quaint township and picture moments with your partner. The dinner will be at a local restaurant and accommodation will be at Akaroa Village Inn.

Day 3

It's time to leave gorgeous Akaroa after breakfast. Our first destination is Timaru which is 200 KM far from Akaroa. En route, you could see the Southern Alps if weather permitting. You can relax and have your lunch at a local restaurant in Timaru township. Our next destination is Oamaru which is the largest town of the Waitaki District. Here you can explore Victorian streetscapes, traditional craft shops, and 19th-century architecture. After spending enough time at Oamaru, we will move to Moeraki which is popular for its boulders. These are calcite concretions scattered across the beach formed about 65 million years ago. The tour will arrive in Dunedin where you can have your dinner and accommodation will be at Heritage Leisure Lodge, Dunedin.

Day 4
Day 4

You will spend your day in Dunedin city which is known as the Scotland of the south and the Otago Peninsula. After having your breakfast at the accommodation hotel, enjoy a guided city tour where you can see the historic architecture and picturesque gardens. You will get enough time to explore Larnach Castle which is one of the best Dunedin attractions. Royal Albatross center is our next destination which is a large wildlife sanctuary where you could see Albatross. After lunch, it's time to visit Speight's Brewery where you can see over 141 years of brewing history. Dinner will be from a local restaurant and the accommodation will be at Heritage Leisure Lodge, Dunedin.

Day 5
Day 5

Today, you will be traveling from Dunedin to Invercargill. This seems to be a short distance on Google Map but there are a lot of things to explore. After breakfast, the tour will depart for the Catlins which is heard for its rugged coastline and forest. Nugget Point is your first destination. This is one of New Zealand's oldest lighthouses that offers sensational views of the deep blue sea. A great place to see the world’s rarest penguins, seals, and sea lions. Some of our clients were lucky to see Hector's dolphins from the viewing platform. Lunch will be from a local restaurant at Owaka, which is the main township of the North Catlins area. After having a 10 KM drive from the town, the tour will reach Purakaunui Falls. You will reach the waterfalls after having a 10-minute walk through the native bush elegance. Curio Bay is the next destination, which is well-heard of for its 180 million years old petrified forest. You may also see one of the rarest penguin species, the yellow-eyed penguin in this region. The tour then moves to the slope point which is the southernmost point of the South Island. Your accommodation is at Invercargill and in the evening, you will travel to Bluff, the end of state highway 1. The Bluff lookout gives a magnificent view of Stewart Island if weather permitting. Dinner will be at Oyster Cove Restaurant and accommodation is at Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill.

Day 6
Day 6

After breakfast at the accommodation hotel, you will depart Invercargill and travel to Te Anau. 30 kilometres west of Invercargill, the tour will reach Riverton, which is one of the earliest European settlements. You will reach Te Anau by the time of lunch. After having lunch, its time to explore Glow worm cave, which is one of the must Dos of Fiordland. This is a two hour journey, where you can venture deep into the magical world of the glowworms. Dinner and accommodation will be at Distinction Luxmore Hotel, Te Anau.

Day 7
Day 7

Mark our words, Day 7 will be the best day of your entire New Zealand trip. Today you will be heading to Milford Sounds, one of the most beautiful, tranquil places on the planet. The tour departs Te Anau after breakfast at the accommodation hotel. En route Milford Sound is one of the finest alpine drives through scenic and stunning rainforests. You will join Real Journey's nature cruise for two hours where you can enjoy New Zealand's most stunning natural attraction. After the Cruise journey, the tour will retrace your route to Te Anau. Stop, enjoy and take pictures wherever you want. Dinner and accommodation will be at Distinction Luxmore Hotel, Te Anau.

Day 8
Day 8

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour departs Te Anau and head to Queenstown. Queenstown presents exceptional scenery, ranging from dense forests, broad grassy flats to gigantic mountains, alpine herb fields, and glacial lakes. You will get enough time to explore the town before lunch. Check-in at Heritage Hotel, Queenstown, and afternoon, the tour will take you to Skyline Gondola, a great trip up the mountain with wonderful views of Queenstown. Your return will be in the cable car, which you will definitely enjoy. Dinner will be from a local restaurant in Queenstown.

Day 9
Day 9

After breakfast, there will be enough time to explore the township. TSS Earnslaw cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station is the first activity, where you can enjoy Queenstown's surrounding landscape. Lunch will be at Walter Peak Station and after that, the tour will take you for a farm visit, where you can experience a little of high country agricultural life and shearing demonstration. Returning back to Queenstown, you will visit Arrowtown, a historic gold mining town in the Otago region. Explore Arrowtown and you will return to Queenstown. Evening Accommodation will be at Heritage Hotel, Queenstown.

Day 10
Day 10

After breakfast, the tour departs Queenstown and heads to Wanaka. Your first destination is the AJ Hackett Bungy jumping site. It is one of the world's pioneer Bungy Jumping locations across the Kawarau River. There will be few stops on the way before reaching Clyde Dam, which is New Zealand's third-largest hydroelectric dam. Lunch will be from a local restaurant in Cromwell, a historic old town. The tour takes you through the shores of Lake Dunstan to Luggate and you will reach Wanaka. Afternoon, you will get an opportunity for wine tasting with your partner at Rippon Winery. Enjoy a selection of wines by looking at the magnificent view of Lake Wanaka. Explore maximum of this township before heading for dinner at the historic hotel of Cardrona. Accommodation will be at Edgewater Hotel, Wanaka.

Day 11

Get ready for another exciting day. Breakfast will be from the accommodation hotel and you will be traveling through Lindis valley and Lindis Pass to reach Omarama. half an hour later, you will be traveling through the shores of Lake Pukaki where you can capture incredible photos with Mt Cook as a background. Lunch will be at The Hermitage Hotel the tour takes you to Lake Tekapo. Church of the Good Shepherd is situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo, which is one of the most photographed buildings in New Zealand. Enjoy your evening and dinner will be from the hotel. Your package includes admission to Dark Sky Project which is a great place to enjoy stargazing. Accommodation will be at Peppers Blue Waters Resort, Lake Tekapo.

Day 12
Day 12

After breakfast, you are heading back to Christchurch and this is a long journey which is around 250 KM. Tour travels via Burkes Pass to reach a country township of Fairlie. There are some viewpoints in between, where you will get amazing photos. There will be a stop at Geraldine and we recommend trying the finest cheese made by Geraldine Cheese Company. Don't forget to try the ice creams and fruit products. Mid-afternoon, you will be back in Christchurch. Enjoy city nightlife. Accommodation will be at Pavilions Hotel, Christchurch.

What is your tour package cancellation policy?

You can cancel any of our tour packages before 7 days of the tour start date. However, a small service fee of 5% will be deducted when we refund your money.

Sure. We will send you a printable itinerary file to your email before the tour starts. Our tour guide will also have a copy of the itinerary which you can borrow if you forgot yours.
