This is the South Island discovery honeymoon package for couples who want to explore the Island within 3 days. 3 days are not enough to explore the beautiful South Island, however, we will arrange the best things you can explore within this time frame. This package is for those who are traveling from Christchurch and want to return back. If you are in Picton, Queenstown, or Dunedin, please consider our other 3 days South Island packages from these destinations.
Once again, this package involves a long road journey. Make sure that you are comfortable with traveling such a long distance. As a private tour package, you can completely modify the itinerary. Some of our fellow clients add helicopter rides from Mount Cook, Skyline Gondola & Bungy Jumping from Queenstown, etc. If you have any such requirements, please let us know.
Get ready for a long road trip from Christchurch to Queenstown. You will start your journey early morning and depends on the season of traveling, you can see exciting sceneries. Enjoy the lush farmlands and long view of the southern alps on your way and take pictures whenever you want. You will continue your journey via Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook National Park which is our first destination. There are several hotspots where you can capture amazing pictures with your partner. Our driver is an excellent guide too, who will remind you to take pictures on the way. If you are interested in adding a scenic flight over Mount Cook, please let us know before the tour. After your lunch from Mount Cook, the tour will take you to Queenstown via the Linda’s Pass. Accommodation will be at Millennium Hotel Queenstown or similar. If you wish to enjoy some night vibes, go ahead.
Day 2 will be the most memorable day for you of this 3-day package. Today you are heading to Milford Sounds, which satisfies you with Jaw-dropping sceneries. Early morning, the tour takes you to Milford sounds. The road journey is amazing as you are traveling through one of the best alpine roads in the world. Cleddau Valley views after entering Homer Tunnel are gorgeous. Our driver will be keen enough to reach Milford sounds before the cruise departs. This Milford Sound Nature Cruise is a 2-hour journey, and it is the best way to see the fiord in all its glory. On the way back to Queenstown, you will get the chance to take pictures with great scenic backgrounds. In the evening, you will reach back to your accommodation hotel.
This is the final day of your tour and today you will be heading back to Christchurch by road retracing your journey on day 1. If you are interested, we can arrange a bungy jumping option at the Kawarau Bridge Bungy jumping site. Today you will get enough time to explore Lake Tekapo and the historical church. You will reach Christchurch by evening and we will drop you either at the airport or your accommodation hotel.
