This is a fabulous 7-day honeymoon tour of New Zealand’s Southern Island. Being an independent tour, it is perfect for honeymooners allowing them all the privacy they need.
On this tour, you will explore the beautiful surroundings of Christchurch, including Dunedin, Otago Peninsula, Penguin reserve, Queenstown, Taieri Gorge Train Ride, Milford Sounds.
The package includes a guided tour of the Penguin Reserve and the Nature cruise at Milford Sounds. As you cruise along the West Coast, witness the 7000 years old Franz Josef Glacier. Finally, return to Christchurch via Greymouth, enjoying the breathtaking beauty through the TranzAlpine train journey.
The package offers six night’s stay in 4 or 4.5-star accommodations in Dunedin (2 nights), Queenstown (3 nights), and Franz Josef (1 night)
On day one, head toward Dunedin via road. Dunedin is very famous for some of the most beautiful Victorian-era buildings.
En route the 5-hour road journey from Christchurch, we offer the guided tour at The Penguin Reserve at Otago Peninsula.
Arrive at the reserve in mid-afternoon for a 90-minute tour. It is a beautiful experience as you get to see fur seals, yellow-eyed penguins, blue penguins, and many more native bird species. See them congregating at the beach or fishing at the lake. It’s a unique honeymoon experience in NZ.
After the tour, head ahead toward your destination Dunedin.

You have the morning in Dunedin to explore its sights.
Our sightseeing tour will take you through a romantic escapade of the Botanical Gardens. You can walk hand in hand or take memorable pictures around flower-lined paths.
We will also take you through the grandeur of historic buildings and stately homes. You can even walk through some of the world’s steepest streets.
After the tour, board the train for Taieri Gorge. Enjoy the rugged Otago landscape with several en-route sightseeing stops. After exploring Pukerangi return to Dunedin for the night.

After a leisurely morning explore in Dunedin, leave for Queenstown by road. The approx. The 4-hour journey will leave you to a fun evening in Queenstown to yourself.
You can explore the town on your own. There are many romantic things to do in Queenstown which you gonna enjoy.
The following few days will be adventure-packed, Queenstown being the ‘Adventure Capital of the World.’

Milford sound is the top attraction near Queenstown.
Take a romantic coach ride along Lake Wakatipu’s shores up to Te Anau, the entry point of the Fiordland National Park.
Cross the Homer Tunnel and emerge at the Cleddau Valley at the other end
This is where you will join the Milford Sound Nature Cruise. It’s an unforgettable experience where you explore the majestic wonders of the fiord.
Return to Queenstown at the day’s end.
You have the whole day to yourselves.
Either indulge in adventure sports such as skydiving and bungee jumping or pick from any top romantic activities.
You can go boat-riding or enjoy a serene lakeside picnic with your life partner. When the night falls, go stargazing and behold the most beautiful sparkling sky.
Lake Wakatipu shores offer breathtaking scenery nestled in the snow-capped mountains.
On the penultimate day, around along the Lake Wanaka & Hawea’s shores and reach the Haast Pass.
It is the gateway to World Heritage Westland National Park.
From here, continue on the West Coast till you reach the crown jewel, the Franz Josef Glacier.
You can take a scenic chopper tour (extra) to the peak and have a private picnic there. If you love to ski, this is the perfect spot for you. Also, click memorable pictures at the ‘river of ice.’

On the final day of this tour, head to Greymouth. It is an old minor's township from the Gold-rush era of the 1860s. Explore old mines, take a glowing cave tour, enjoy folklores, and so much more.
After a fabulous day in Greymouth, ride the TranzAlpine train back to Christchurch. It is one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. It journeys through the snowy Southern Alps and the Arthurs Pass before it reaches its destination.
At Christchurch, get an airport or accommodation transfer.
